What is a clear aligner?
Clear aligners are orthodontic devices that are made from transparent hard plastic and is a form of dental brace, used to move teeth in to a predated position
Is it suitable for all cases?
Like any orthodontic device they require proper assessment by a qualified dentist or an orthodontist to determine suitability. They tend to be mostt suitable for mild and on some occasions moderate crowding cases.
Can I eat with them on?
Unlike braces they are not fixed and can be fitted and removed by the patient. It is recommended at meal times, for brushing or consumption of hot drinks that they are removed.
How long does the treatment take?
Each case is different and depends on the level of complexity and number of aligners required. The number of aligners is usually determined by the extent of movement of the teeth and in most cases this is simulated via a computer program.
